Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of legaltechconference.com (“the Directory”), operated by Global Cyber Institute, a U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit (“we,” “us”). By accessing the Directory or submitting a listing you agree to these Terms.

1. The Directory

The Directory aggregates information about legal-technology conferences and events. Listings are submitted by organizers or compiled by our editorial team from public sources. We do not host, organize, or sell tickets to the events themselves; we provide discovery, search, and editorial curation.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit a listing. By submitting a listing on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to do so.

3. Listings & content

Free, Featured, and Premium tiers

We offer Free, Featured ($99/year), and Premium ($249/year) listing tiers, described on the Pricing page. All listings are subject to editorial review; we may decline, edit, or remove listings that do not meet our editorial standards or violate these Terms.

What you must provide

• Accurate event name, dates, location, format, and registration URL.
• Truthful description of the event and its target audience.
• Authority to use any logos or branding you include.

What you may not do

• Submit duplicative listings for the same event.
• Submit listings for events that don't exist or have been canceled without updating.
• Use the Directory to distribute spam, malware, or illegal content.
• Misrepresent CLE accreditation, speaker line-ups, or attendee counts.

Editorial control

We retain editorial discretion over inclusion, placement, and removal. Paid placement (Featured / Premium) does not buy editorial coverage, search-result ranking, or inclusion in our digests beyond the promotional placements specified for that tier.

4. Paid tiers & billing

Featured and Premium listings are billed annually via Stripe. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel renewal at any time from your account; the listing will remain through the end of the paid term and revert to Free thereafter (or be removed if it no longer meets editorial standards).

5. Intellectual property

The Directory's design, code, and editorial content are owned by Global Cyber Institute and licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. Listing content (descriptions, logos, images) remains owned by the submitting organizer; by submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute it as part of the Directory and our editorial communications.

• The Directory is informational. Nothing here is legal advice.
• We do not guarantee event accuracy, attendance, or quality. Verify before registering or traveling.
• CLE-credit eligibility depends on each jurisdiction; confirm with the issuing body.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Global Cyber Institute is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Directory. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the prior 12 months (or $100 if you used only the Free tier).

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Global Cyber Institute against claims arising from your listings, your use of the Directory, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for users or listings that violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting hello@legaltechconference.com.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in state or federal courts located in Delaware.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
